Early Morning: Getting Ready for the Heat
My day at Blue Air Heating and Cooling starts before the sun rises. As I load up my service van with essential tools and equipment, I know the Florida heat will soon be putting air conditioning systems to the test across Orlando and Winter Park.
First Call: Emergency AC Repair
By 7:30 AM, I’m already at my first call in Maitland. A family’s AC unit stopped working overnight, and with temperatures expected to hit 95 degrees, this is a priority. After a thorough inspection, I identify a failing capacitor – a common issue in our humid climate.
Mid-Morning: Scheduled Maintenance
The next stop takes me to Goldenrod for a routine AC service appointment. These preventative maintenance visits are crucial for:
- Ensuring optimal system performance
- Extending equipment lifespan
- Preventing unexpected breakdowns
- Maintaining energy efficiency
Afternoon: New Installation
The bulk of my afternoon is spent in Winter Park, where we’re installing a new high-efficiency air conditioning system. The homeowners are upgrading from their old unit, and I take time to explain the modern features and maintenance requirements.
Late Afternoon: Final Service Calls
As the day winds down, I handle two more service calls in Orlando. One involves a simple filter replacement and cleaning, while the other requires more extensive diagnostics of a furnace system that’s being prepared for the upcoming winter months.
Working in HVAC in Central Florida means being ready for anything, from emergency repairs to routine maintenance. Every day brings new challenges and opportunities to help our community stay comfortable, no matter the weather.
