Morning Preparations
My day at Bee Busters starts early, usually around 6 AM. After checking the schedule, I load up the truck with all the necessary protective equipment and tools we’ll need for today’s bee removal jobs in Laguna Beach and Mission Viejo.
First Call: Residential Removal
The morning’s first job takes us to a beautiful home in Laguna Hills where honeybees have established a colony in an exterior wall. This is a delicate operation requiring:
• Careful inspection of the entry points
• Setting up safety perimeters
• Using thermal imaging to locate the exact hive position
• Precise removal of exterior materials
Afternoon Challenges
After lunch, we head to Lake Forest for a wasp nest removal. These jobs require different techniques than honeybee extractions, and we always take extra precautions due to wasps’ aggressive nature.
Final Call of the Day
The day ends in Irvine with a complex hive extraction from a residential attic space. This type of removal requires:
• Thorough structure assessment
• Setting up proper ventilation
• Careful comb removal
• Complete cleanup and sealing of entry points
By sunset, we’re back at headquarters, cleaning equipment and preparing reports. Every day brings new challenges in bee control, but helping maintain the balance between human safety and bee preservation makes it all worthwhile.
Safety First
Throughout each job, we maintain strict safety protocols while ensuring humane removal practices. Our work across Orange County requires constant adaptation to different environments and situations, making every day unique in the world of professional bee management.
